We operate under three different names - Helgesen Development, Helgesen Family Limited, and Helgesen Holdings. Together we have been providing management, design and construction services since 1949. We have perfected our services to seamlessly integrate for clients requiring partial jobs as well as being the single source for those needing complete project handling.

Our staff consists of project managers, architects, construction managers, estimators, construction coordinators, site superintendents, and support staff who all work together to get the job done. Helgesen is a creative, financially secure organization that strives to exceed our customers’ expectations from start to finish.

Helgesen Development Corporation (HDC) implements a strong “family atmosphere” ever since its staff Founder Donald W. Helgesen began his quest to build a premier construction services company in 1949.


Members of the Helgesen team currently include:

Jeffrey W. Helgesen (son of the founder) - President: facilitates the daily organization within the hierarchy of the company to ensure the corporation’s vision and mission is always executed as expected by our clients, contractors, and communities.

Cheryl Coleman - Office Manager: she is essential within the office for the crucial functions which include accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer inquiries, organization of customer appointments, as well as valuable assistance to Jeffrey & Donald Helgesen.

Bob Matzke - Controller: vital to the daily fiscal operations such as all financial reporting, data analysis, budgeting, and maintains imperative valued relationships with our financial institutions.


Sub Contractors:

Throughout the sixty years of existence, HDC has developed strong growing relationships with our sub contractors. HDC maintains a project throughout the lease’s term, thereby ensuring complete customer satisfaction through years of occupancy. Various external and internal occurrences may arise that HDC can foresee and address. HDC has maintained continuous working sub contractor relationships that have carried into second and third generations.

History:

Helgesen Development has an impressive resume of buildings that have been constructed over the years sildentadal.com. Our current inventory of properties, include nine individual properties (2 of which are multi tenant facilities), located in Janesville, WI, Marinette, WI, Menomonie, WI, and Dixon, IL. Combined, these facilities are collectively two million, two hundred eighty three thousand (2,283,000) square feet under roof. To date, Helgesen Development has rented and built for sale large to medium buildings that required office, warehousing, and manufacturing real estate throughout the United States and Europe.

Community:

The stimulation of economic growth has been just one of the many objectives of HDC over the years. Most recently, in 2008, even with the GM plant closing, HDC has leased 350,000 square feet of facilities to Cummins, National Distribution Centers. These firms will soon employ 130 & look forward to adding 40 -60 more employees in 2009. Strong relationships with state and local governments, city economic development offices, and business development organizations are vital for the acquisition and communication of new business developments.
